Reflection: Learning Styles

           If I will be injected of a truth serum and locked up in a room with Sir/Tatay Emman . . .          All I can say is Thank you, kase Tay kung alam nyo lang wala po talaga akong mairereklamo sa subject nyo. You made EdTech22 a really awesome subject. Yung ang sarap ng  feeling when you’re gaining knowledge while you are having fun at the same. Kase Tay real talk, I never feel na naging burden sa akin at sa amin ang subject na ito, compare to the other subject na ang lakas magdemand ( hahaha!           Last Wednesday, I celebrate my 18th Birthday opppssss ! I mean my 19th birthday. I thought its just an ordinary day but it turns out that it is my special day. What makes it special is the greetings from my parents as I wake up in the morning they  greeted  me with warm hugs and kisses and greeting to my friends that I always treasure. Of course my classmate, actually we have na naman a small salo-salo and my mother is the one who prepared the food that we ate ( and also Tay thank you po sa pacake hehe! Sa susunod po ulet haha joke lang po XD). Also it was a double celebration because we also celebrate the birthday of Cheska and that’s another reason why it makes it special. I thought it was over, but a special person came who completes that special day. It is not the gifts that counts but actually the  efforts he made to complete my day.

         Teaching is not easy as a profession and you will realized it when you do a Demo Teaching for the first time , from the preparation and to the ongoing activities during discussion or after. It might easy at first but the true is, it is really hard. Because the preparation for unique Instructional materials is not easy. Even in how you will master what you need to teach to your student. Of course, also writing a lesson plan is really difficult most especially if you don’t have any idea on how you will construct it, at the first place. So lesson learned you must ask or study on your own  the things that the teachers can’t provide.        Furthermore, according to my own experience in my demo teaching both in Principles of Teaching 2 and Edtc22, motivation is really important.             Kung babaliktarin ang mundo ng isang araw at magkakaroon ako ng pagkakataon na maging isang Adan, wari ko’y  ginagabihan pa lamang ay isinusulat ko na sa kapirasong papel ang mga nais kong gawin.                   Nakakalungkot lang na yung mga taong inaasahan mo na susuporta sa pangarap mo, sila pa pala yung mga magiging hadlang sa pangarap mo . Madaling sabihing tumigil ka na ! Oo madali, sobra! pero ang mahirap na part eh yung tanggapin yung katotohanan na wala ka ng babalikan pag tumigil ka pa “NGAYON”. Ang hirap na rin kasing lagi ka na lang iintindi sa mga bagay na wala ka namang kinalaman. Yung feeling na lagi na lang sayo yung fallback.             If I have given a chance or some sort of powers to resurrect someone from the past I will choose Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago. The reason is just simple, she proved and show evidence that not all politician are cruel monstrous alligators because of her  existence.  She might be the Iron Lady but behind her strong tigress personality, there’s always be a loving wife and a mother. I choose her because I know she has so much to offer to our country, to our nation even if she is senator or even the president of the Philippines. The intelligence she have and intellectual capabilities even her heart will always be part and can be a big contributor of good will  to our government and  nation.         Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago is very a simple women.         Predation is a community interaction, a relationship between a predator and prey, In the natural environment, predation is one of the factor that balance the specie population. Last Tuesday, the activity we perform help us realize that natural predation in the wild is not a bad thing because the predator and prey limits their number. In a sense that the number of the predator affects also the number of the prey also they just performing their role in the wild , so there’s nothing wrong with that , as Sir Art stated “Don’t feel pity towards a cattle eaten by a tiger, because in every 7 attempts there’s only 1 success catch.             In the another activity , it’s about Capture-Recapture a method used by wildlife rescuer for them to monitor the animals they’ve got rescue. Kevin Enrile:). He is my gay bestfriend. Our friendship started nung grade 5 pa lang kami. Actually naging kaklase ko sya for the first time nung time na yun. Pero di yun naging hadlang para di kami maging magkaibigan. Before we have a broad circle of friends some of them go and some of them stay and Kevin is one of those who stay. I choose him for the award because until now and then he’s always there for me at times of sadness or happiness. He is also my closes friend among them.         Kami yung tipo ng magkaibigan na parang magkadugtong ang mga brain cells kase di namin kailangan ng eye contact for us to understand or send messages to one another.       Last Friday, the demo teaching in EdTech started. I must say that the over all performance is good, even though there’s a lot of flows and errors, there’s always a room for improvement. Maybe they just got pressured and feel nervous because they are the first to present. But, as I observed, authority is really essential in teaching because it will set how your student will respect you and also how your student will follow . Ofcourse, also the mastery of the subject matter is really important in a sense that it is thing you will be teaching to your student. Furthermore, motivation is also important because it sets the student attention if they withdraw or accept the learnings.         Moreover, the PowerPoint presentation is important, as Sir Emman stated “ the presentation must age appropriate to the audience and the guidelines should be follow”. The first three presentor let us see the errors that we should avoid during the demo teaching....

      Last Monday ( Nov.6 ) was a normal day for Bio majors, until Sir Emman told us that it was Sir Art’s Birthday during our Microbiology class. We are all surprised, after our class we set a short meeting to the things we need to do. So we shared money for the food we choose to buy while Sir Emman give money for the cake. Then after that, we went to Robinson to buy this stuff, we first went to the Red Ribbon where we buy the chocolate cake. After that, we went to National Bookstore to buy party poppers and letter balloons but unfortunately there’s no letter A. Then the last stuff we need to buy is the SNR pizza for the food and after that we came back to school.
